Beyoncé Celebrates Her Homecoming Special With Grambling State University
Beyoncé recently celebrated her Netflix special with the help of Grambling State University. After Bey’s Homecoming hit the streaming service King Bey brought the Louisiana HBCU’s band members to L.A. to celebrate her #HomecomingWeekend.
Bey posed for photos with the Marching Tiger band who accompanied her to Coachella and performed privately for guests like Travis Scott, Karrueche and Winnie Harlow.
Bey’s #HomecomingWeekend was presented in partnership with Adidas and Beyonce’s Ivy Park.
Bey already has ties to the HBCU, last year her BeyGood Foundation awarded a $25,000 scholarship to Grambling State University Mass Communication graduate student, Cletus Emokpae.
Congrats to Grambling!
More on the flip.
Orchesis dance team captain Jalin Ford reflected on her time dancing for King Bey.
Chris Stylez of D’USSE Palooza hosted the event for Bey.
Grambling’s Orchesis dancers previously paid homage to Bey with their uniforms in the fall.
