“Hoop is a jokester; he likes cracking jokes, but he’s also a glue character,” said Freeman. “He’s trying to keep the brothers together, he’s trying to hold everything together. I wanted to lean moreso into the care of Hoop, other than the gangster—the gangster stuff is just gonna come, especially if you threaten someone you care about.”
