Netflix just offered up their first look at "Ma Rainey's Black Bottom," based on August Wilson's play of the same name. The project stars Viola Davis as Ma Rainey and Chadwick Boseman, in his final role, as Levee, her extremely ambitious trumpeteer. While Ma Rainey was a very real historical figure, both the play and subsequent project are entirely fictional.
