Skin bleaching is a rapidly growing epidemic among people of color, especially in certain parts of Africa where darker skin is viewed as a curse. Sad, but the ugly reality in a world where bold opportunists like Nigerian “Pop star” Dencia can make a killing off skin bleaching creams disguised as “luxury dark spot remover.”
Hit the jump for Twitter reactions, photos of Whitenicious victims users and an official introduction to Naija-Cameroonian “Pop star” Dencia.
We’re not cosmetic skincare experts but this cream seems like it does a LIL more than just “remove dark spots.”
Dencia is a poor, blind, deaf woman’s Nicki Minaj with the mind of Draya who should probably never speak…ever.
Self-hatred or nah?
