In the midst of our shock over Kim and Kris’s divorce, we almost skipped over one fact: Kimmy made it a point to ask the courts to bar Kris from being able to request any type of spousal support.
Add this to the fact that they had a prenup, which according to reports, kept all of their assets separate, and Bumphries remains a bum, walking away with what little bit he made off that wedding special.
And even that money has been affected: execs at E! are probably going to stop running that two part “Fairy Tale Wedding” special to avoid a little embarrassment for all those involved… even if all this divorce talk would probably mean higher ratings for the beginning of the marriage that wasn’t.
So what did Kris do to eff up everyone’s money like this? According to TMZ he didn’t want to play his position and stay out of the spotlight.
Kim Kardashian’s friends are scoffing at Kris Humphries, claiming he’s full of BS when he says he wanted to have a simple life with her in Minnesota, because once the marriage fell apart, he immediately began “chasing fame.”
They’re saying in the last week or so, when they started talking about the possibility of divorce, Kris went into full Hollywood gear, talking about “branding” the Kris Humphries name with cologne, nightclub appearances and what not.
And we’re told Kris was pushing to keep their connection going, even if they ended their marriage … and that threw up red flags.
We’re told Kim was especially put off that Kris hired a Hollywood publicist over the weekend to work on his image.
As we previously reported, one of the main reasons for the divorce was that Kris wanted Kim to move to Minnesota, but once it became clear she wasn’t leaving Hollywood and the marriage was over, Kris was all about the very things he despised.

After Kim and her sisters issued their statements yesterday, Bumphries release one too, via TMZ:
Kris Humphries is willing to do whatever it takes to repair his broken marriage — telling TMZ, “I’m committed to this marriage and everything this covenant represents.”
Kris adds, “I love my wife and am devastated to learn she filed for divorce … I’m willing to do whatever it takes to make it work.”
Meanwhile, as obvious as it may have been to the rest of us that this awkward shyte was doomed, TMZ is also reporting that it really came down to the wire for Kimmy Cakes.

Sources directly connected with Kim tell us … KK cried all weekend, deciding to file legal docs, then changing her mind several times over.
We’re told she clearly wasn’t happy but wasn’t 100% sure the marriage was irretrievably broken.
