Scholars Say The Term "Pets" Is Derogatory To Animals
They Can’t Be Serious: Apparently Calling Your Animals “Pets” Is Offensive SMH!
These animal rights people are getting out of hand and need to chill out for a bit. Apparently the term “pet” is insulting and demeaning to the animal. The animals, who probably weren’t surveyed, would rather be called “companion animals” while their “owners” should be called “human carers.” Can you believe that someone actually paid money to have scientists analyze this mess?
The “scholars,” who edit the Journal of Animal Ethics think that derogatory names for pets affects the way they’re treated. They also don’t want animals to be called “wild” as much as they should be called “free-living” and “free-ranging.” Give us a break, please.
Don’t worry, soon “pets” will be using the term as a sign of respect to each other but everyone that’s not a pet can’t use the word because it’s disrespectful.
