Despite exiting the Real Housewives Of Atlanta, Kenya Moore is making it clear that she’s still employed by Bravo and could potentially return to your television screens.

As previously reported, the #RHOA star appeared on Tamron Hall Thursday and took accountability for the heated confrontation with season 16 newcomer Brit Eady that led to her exit. According to Kenya, she was protecting not only herself but her daughter by exposing “distasteful” photos of Eady at the opening of her Kenya Moore Hair Spa.

Kenya expounded on that further in her sit-down with Tamron, first noting that she was not fired from The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

“I was never fired,” said Kenya matter-of-factly. “There were a lot of headlines… ‘Kenya was fired. She was fired,’ and they were not true.”

She also clarified that she remains under contract with Bravo and still receives paychecks from the network.

She went on to tell the host that tensions with Eady escalated during season 16 filming when things “took a dark turn” due to Eady allegedly threatening her.

“There was a young lady who was new, and she just was poking the bear,” Moore said. “Everybody knows the saying: ‘Don’t come for me unless I send for you.’ During taping, the young lady escalated to the point where mics were torn off, there was screaming, obscenities, and threats directed at me,” said Kenya who alleged that Brit said “You don’t know who I am.”

Feeling unprotected by the production team, who she believes ignored her like a “Black Karen,” conducting online research about Eady and presenting explicit material she found during a taping session.

“I found some information with a few clicks and people helping me. I didn’t get things sent to me; I found them,” she explained. “I showed one receipt during taping, knowing the network would likely blur it out. I found a lot but I only showed one.”

“Were you building a moment?” Tamron asked. “Were you trying to have a Kenya moment, and this backfired?”

“I don’t think it’s a Kenya moment, I live my truth. My moment is my life. I don’t need to create a moment,” said Kenya.

While Moore insisted her intent was self-protection, she admitted that it was an incorrect move.

“If I could do it all over again…” started Kenya. “I believe the photos were very distasteful, and I elevated the situation, I’ve elevated situations before—and I’ve taken full accountability for the things that I’ve done. I am sorry for what I’ve done,” she said.

“I didn’t have to take it that far but when I felt threatened, I’ve never had a child and be in this situation before. So that’s why I escalated it to the point where I was protecting not only myself but my child,” she added through tears.

Kenya also denied that her actions were revenge porn and noted that she’s indeed still employed by Bravo.

Hit the flip for her comments.

In another portion of her Tamron Hall sit-down, Kenya spoke on how the fallout has affected her Kenya Moore Hair Spa and Kenya Moore Haircare businesses.

“I’ve had people go out of their way—predatory bloggers who have stalked me, who have put out rumors, who have created a false narrative about how my businesses are doing,” she said. “I built Kenya Moore Haircare over the last 12 years with my own money, with my own passion, and it became a very successful brand,” she said proudly. “I am in over 5,000 doors right now.”

Moore admitted that some retailers considered pulling her products due to the controversy amid allegations that she engaged in revenge porn, but she credited her faith and perseverance for overcoming those hurdles.

“I’m in 5,000 more doors now,” Kenya said. “That was a completely false narrative,” she added. “I was never under suspicion for revenge porn by the network or anyone on the show.”

When asked if she could potentially return, she also expressed gratitude for the support she’s received from fans and Bravo executives, particularly Andy Cohen.

“Andy has called, he has checked on me, he has given me advice,” she said. “I feel like he’s a really good friend and I appreciate the support—and so many people at the network, that was my family for 12 years, and I feel like they love me.”

While she acknowledged stepping back from the current season, she hinted at the possibility of returning for the #RHOA reunion.

“I think it’s important to have my point of view,” she said. “I haven’t done interviews, I haven’t had my say, and that’s a little strange for me.”

Ultimately, Kenya told Tamron that while her actions were controversial, her “heart is pure,” and she moved with the intention of protecting Brooklyn Daly.

“And you know I feel like the most unfortunate thing for me is that this situation was created. I escalated it and that wasn’t the proper response,” said Kenya. “However, When I look at my daughter, and I have to explain things to her, and I don’t want anything to get convoluted with my legacy—with you know what mommy’s purpose is in life. And I don’t want her to ever be confused about what my heart is and what my intentions are—because they’re always to protect her.”

She continued,

“I was never protected as a child, I never had a mother to protect me. I never had that relationship, and I finally have an opportunity to do that with Brooklyn and No matter what happens to me in my life, I’m going to always protect my child and maybe it wasn’t the right response but it was in from my heart that it’s pure.”

Speaking of her daughter, Brooklyn, the adorable tot was by Kenya’s side on Tamron Hall to promote their book, “Brooklyn Bound Paris” and (of course) pure preciousness ensued.
