Lil Durk was arrested by U.S. Marshalls in Florida on murder-for-hire charges stemming from a retaliation plot following King Von’s murder.

In 2020, Chicago rapper King Von was murdered in Atlanta during an incident with rival Quando Rondo. Reportedly, during a scuffle between the two, Quando’s friend Lul Timm shot Von who would later die from his injuries. In August 2022, Quando was once again in the middle of gunfire shortly after he landed in Los Angeles.

Quando’s cousin was shot and killed during the incident, which seemed like a targeted hit.

Yesterday, TMZ reported California federal prosecutors indicted five members associated with Lil Durk’s OTF family for the murder of Quando’s cousin. Lil Durk wasn’t listed in the indictment at the time of the press release. However, late last night U.S. Marshalls reportedly arrested Durk in Southern Florida, XXL reports.

Arrest records show Durk will be extradited to Los Angeles to face murder-for-hire charges. California prosecutors allege Durk’s OTF gang placed a bounty on Quando following King Von’s murder. Prosecutors also allege the credit card used to book plane tickets from Chicago to California for the hit was associated with Durk’s OTF record label. Also, Lil Durk reportedly could face life in prison or the death penalty in California if found guilty.
