Gary Coleman's Wife Under Scrutiny
Gary Coleman’s Wife Calls 911, Hospital Says Price Was Authorized To Make Medical Decisions
Gary Coleman’s wife, Shannon Price has come under intense scrutiny since his death, particularly now that the 911 call she made has been released. Pop the hood to hear the call
Does she sound suspect to you???
Another recent development in the story is that Coleman’s lawyer claims Price and Coleman were actually divorced, calling into question whether she should have been allowed to make the decision to remove him from life support, but on Wednesday night, Price gave Utah Valley Regional Medical Center permission to release the following information:
“Mr. Coleman had completed an Advanced Health Care Directive that granted Shannon Price permission to make medical decisions on his behalf if he was unable to do so. An Advanced Health Care Directive remains in effect regardless of a patient’s marital status, unless modified by the patient. It is a private medical document which the hospital does not have permission to release. However, we received permission to confirm that the document was in effect at the time of Mr. Coleman’s death.
“Because of federal privacy laws, the hospital will not be able to provide any additional information.”
Meanwhile Price must be feeling guilty about something, because she did an interview where she tries to justify taking him off life support because she didn’t want him to “be like Muhammed Ali”:
TMZ obtained an interview with Price … shot the day after Gary died. Among other things, Price blurted out that she’s heard speculation that she pushed Gary and that caused him to fall and ultimately hemorrhage. Price insists she didn’t push Gary — a weird statement, since no one had publicly accused her of that.
And Price fondly mentions that Gary did a lot for her — like buy her a car
This is a mess… She BETTER not have pushed him.
