Freeform and the “grown-ish” cast are preparing for the show’s third season to return to the network on January 21st. Yara Shahidi took to Instagram to share a photo with Saweetie from the set. As you can see the pair are wearing matching outfits.

Freeform also shared a clip from the upcoming season, which features Saweetie in her role as Indigo and Yara in her role as Zoey Johnson. For those who don’t recall, Zoey quit Cal U at the end of the year to pursue her styling career and she’s now working full time as a stylist for Joey Bada$$ and her second client Indigo. During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Saweetie dished some more details about her sassy new character.
“I think Indigo is just a little bit of a b***h,” the 26-year-old star shared. “She means well, but just sometimes she says the wrong things.”
“I wanted to make sure I delivered. I feel like with roles, whether if it’s an episode or in a music video, you always have to commit to the emotion of what you’re trying to portray,” Saweetie added. “I thought it was cool, a little cheating but that’s okay: I played an artist and I’m an artist myself. But the girl’s attitude and personality is completely night and day with mine so I did have to learn about her. She’s a diva, she’s bossy.”
We can’t wait to see it!
