The United States has just crossed two very depressing thresholds. The first is the fact we’ve reached four million cases of COVID-19 and we are approaching 150,000 cases. If there’s any good news, it’s that cases may start reaching a plateau.
After weeks of sharp increases, there are some signs that new coronavirus cases in the United States may be plateauing at a high daily rate.
Nationally, the seven-day daily average of new confirmed cases was just under 66,000, according to data from Johns Hopkins University. That is still a startlingly high number of infections, but it’s the lowest it has been in the US in 10 days.
The trend can be seen more clearly in new case totals in Arizona, Texas and Florida. In these states, which reopened without effective safety protocols and saw rapid case spread since June, new cases have flattened or slightly decreased recently.
With that said, plenty of celebrities are also feeling the wrath of ‘Rona. July was a particularly active month for people battling the virus.
Hit the flip to see celebrities who had the Coronavirus or revealed it this month.
Doja Cat – She had originally called people “p*ssies” for being worried about the coronavirus. Then she revealed that she actually did have COVID-19 a while back, too. Nobody felt any sympathy for her.
The Florida Marlins – Half the damn Florida Marlins baseball team has tested positive for COVID-19, setting up the possibilities for the MLB season to get canceled.
James Harden – He tested positive before entering the NBA bubble, but he’s gone through quarantine and is back out on the court with a problematic Blue Lives Matter mask and all.

Russell Westbrook – He was also positive for COVID, but had mild symptoms and was allowed back to the NBA as well.
Herman Cain – He went to the Trump rally while talking about how people are overreacting to the virus. Now he’s been in the hospital for three weeks getting strength back in his lungs.
Sheree Whitfield – She revealed that she tested positive for COVID-19 as well, but she’s doing much better now.
Keisha Lance Bottoms – She and her husband tested positive all while she was trying to keep people safe in a state where the mayor is suing her to allow people to die. There’s that.
Kanye West – Earlier this month revealed that he had COVID back in February, even though he didn’t get tested. He also doesn’t believe in vaccines.
