Ryan Shazier Dances At His Wedding Nearly 18 Months After Serious Spinal Injury

Former NFL star Ryan Shazier shared a beautiful moment this weekend. The Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker who suffered a spinal injury in December 2017 danced at his wedding on Friday night.

A short video shows Shazier dancing with his wife to Montell Jordan, an insane task considering his injury initially left him paralyzed from the waist down.

Shazier has spent the better part of a year undergoing spinal surgery, re-learning how to walk and constantly training with the hopes to revive his once-promising NFL career.

The former NFL star regularly shares updates on his progress to social media and has chronicled his journey back to the league. The team placed him on injured reserve for the coming season so that they can keep him on their team while they wait for him to return to full strength.

Current and former NFL teammates of Shazier were in attendance as he and his wife tied the knot in Pittsburgh.
