“The Talk” Hosts Open Up About Struggling With Health Issues
It’s been an emotional week for our friends at “The Talk”… On Tuesday our girl Eve opened up with her struggle with infertility revealing grappling with shame over her struggle to conceive:
“Obviously, I’ve talked about my struggle with getting pregnant and I didn’t talk about it for a long time because I felt shameful,” reveals Eve. “As a women you just think things happen naturally and I felt like I was damaged. I felt like I was broken. I felt like, oh maybe I wasn’t good enough… it’s a very sad hurtful thing, but the more I hung onto it the worse I actually felt about it about myself…

That’s such a difficult thing but we’re glad she opened up and the audience has been supportive because it really is such a common struggle.
Hit the flip to see what some of the other hosts have been dealing with.
Carrie Ann Inaba gets emotional sharing her struggles with autoimmune disease. “I have all these autoimmune conditions, and I’m in a really bad flair. It sounds so silly, but people who have these like invisible illnesses… whether it’s rheumatoid arthritis, or a gastrointestinal thing… I feel so much shame when I go through these things, because I want to be what people see. And people see a healthy person, from the outside… I want to encourage people, because even though I feel shame, I know at the same time I shouldn’t feel shame.”
That’s really tough. It seems like she’s got multiple issues she’s been dealing with.
Sharon also opened up about dealing with depression and attempting suicide multiple times.
“I was joking about this but I shouldn’t, talking about my depression, and it’s like, you know saying, oh, the first time I tried to kill myself was okay, the second – all right, the third time, oye! But it’s like, I’m still here. I still do what I do and you struggle… I wish everybody could think flowers and daisies and princesses, but you can’t.”
In an update the hosts revealed the outpouring of support they received after sharing their struggles.
