Zoe Saldana Is An Afro-Latina Hollywood Legend
Zoe Saldana graces the front cover of the new issue of Hola! magazine alongside Latina icons Rita Moreno and Gloria Estefan along with Eva Longoria.
Zoe’s in great company, but as an Afro-Latina who has been making a mark in Hollywood for over a decade we think she deserves credit for being a face that girls from MANY ethnicities can embrace. She’s played black women, aliens, fictional species and in her newest role as Adelina Fortnight in ‘MISSING LINK’ (in theaters April 12) she’s an adventurer enlisted to help her furry friend find his long lost relatives on the other side of the world.
Of course Zoe is no stranger to creative casting and as a mom of three it’s got to be great to play a character her kids can watch on the big screen but we wanted to shine a light on Zoe Saldana and share some of our favorite moments of her we’ve enjoyed over recent years. She’s definitely one of the most versatile actresses EVER and should be applauded for it.
Hit the flip to see them.
Let’s not forget Zoe made a cameo appearance in Drake’s music video for “NICE FOR WHAT.”
She’ll forever be remembered in her role as Neytiri in AVATAR
Zoe won over audiences in multiple movies as Marvel’s AVENGERS and GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY character Gamora.
These are just a few of our favorite Zoe roles — what are yours?
