Janet Jackson Inducted Into Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame
Congrats are in order for Janet Jackson, as the 52-year-old icon has finally been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Taking to social media in the wee hours of Thursday morning to celebrate, the “Nasty” singer wrote “We did it u guys. Thank you for all your love and support. #RockHall2019.”
Stevie Nicks, Radiohead, Roxy Music, The Cure, The Zombies, and Def Leppard also made the cut, while LL Cool J, Rufus feat. Chaka Khan and more unfortunately did not.
This was LL Cool J’s fifth time being nominated and he would have been the seventh hip-hop act to be inducted, after Run-D.M.C., N.W.A, Tupac Shakur, and more.
As for Jackson, this has been an incredible year for her. She received the Icon Award at the Billboard Music Awards as well as the Global Icon Award at the MTV Europe Music Awards, in addition to heading out on her State of the World tour and headlining at the Global Citizen Festival.
The 34th Annual Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony is all set to go down on Friday, March 29, 2019 at the Barclays Center. Hit the flip to see what Ms. Jackson has been up to as of late.
