Fans Are Confused About Alexis Skyy Using Medicaid For Her Baby
Last night, “Love and Hip Hop New York” aired and Alexis Skyy introduced us to her sweet granny. Alexis explained that her granny helps her a great deal with her daughter Alaiya, who was born with a handful of complications due to her being born prematurely. In the midst of their conversation, Alexis revealed while she does love the help she gets from her granny, her daughter’s Medicaid insurance doesn’t work in NYC, so she travels back to Atlanta to get her special treatments needed due to a brain bleed she suffered at birth.
Here is the clip where Alexis explains Alaiya needs speech therapy, physical therapy, breathing treatments, and stimulation therapy.
So sad! But fans of the show completely skimmed passed the part where Alexis said her daughter had special medical needs and Twitter went into a tizzy with assumptions like this:
People were talking about it so much, the word “Medicaid” was TRENDING.
Sometimes a lie is more entertaining than the truth! Despite the circumstance, people were arguing over whether or not Alexis actually “needed” Medicaid assistance for her special needs child. Hit the flip to see the clownery.
