Kelis Order To Cough Up $17,000 After Leaving Nanny Stranded In London
According to The Blast Kelis has been ordered to pay $17,000 to her former nanny after allegedly leaving her stranded in London.
The former nanny, Soraya Tascon, filed a complaint with the California Labor Commissioner’s Office after Kelis refused to pay her in full for services rendered.
Tascon claimed she was owed over a hundred hours of wages and overtime, along with the $1,200 she spent on the flight home. After filing a complaint with the Labor Commission of the State of California, Tascon won a judgment in the amount of $17,623.73 after they determined the evidence proved her claims and later dismissed Kelis’ argument that the nanny had a problem returning phone calls or texts during the incident.
