“Set It Up,” “Marlon” & Season Two Of “Marvel’s Luke Cage” Among New Titles From Netflix
It’s a new month – and that means it’s time for a new crop of funny, fly and undeniably melanily shows from Netflix.
The digital content provider is set to drop a new crop of shows and movies that represent people of color. One highlight is the return of Harlem’s favorite superhero – “Marvel’s Luke Cage,” where we find the bulletproof man a neighborhood celeb uptown, but as the adage goes – “To whom much is given, much is expected.”
Peep the episode description:
After clearing his name, Luke Cage has become a celebrity on the streets of Harlem with a reputation as bulletproof as his skin. But being so visible has only increased his need to protect the community and find the limits of who he can and can’t save. With the rise of a formidable new foe, Luke is forced to confront the fine line that separates a hero from a villain.
Luke Cage’s season two airs June 22.
Hit the flip to check out our picks for June:
“Marlon” Season 1

Glow

“Glow,” a over the top take on the world of women’s wrestling in the 1980s, is back for a second season, which touches on stories of black love (with “Black Panther’s Sydelle Noel) and explores the triumphs and tribulations of being a black single mother (with actress Kia Stevens). “Glow” returns for a new season on June 29.
Set It Up
Two overworked assistants (Zooey Deutch and Glen Powell) hatch a plan to set up their insufferable bosses (Lucy Liu and Taye Diggs) hoping that if they find romance with each other, they’ll be a little easier to handle at work. In the process of playing matchmaker for their terrible bosses, the underlings get pretty close themselves. “Set It Up” is out June 15.
Nailed It
The show that’s all about baking fails is back for another season of epic baking fails. Hosted by “Loosely, Exactly Nicole’s” Nicole Byer, the show sees celebs and amateur contestants try their hands at recreating baked masterpieces – all for a shot at winning $10,000. “Nailed It” airs June 29.
