Ne-Yo And His Wife Crystal Renay Are Expecting Their Second Child
That was fast! Ne-Yo’s wife Crystal Renay announced she is pregnant with their second child today.

Her post arrived on the heels of a report from E! News exclusively confirming the pregnancy:
“We are so excited!” the pregnant businesswoman tells E! News. “This definitely wasn’t in the plan and we weren’t trying at all!”
The couple already have a one-year-old son Shaffer Chimere Smith Jr, born last May, a month after their Los Angeles wedding, and Ne-Yo has a son Mason Evan and daughter Madilyn Grace from his relationship with Monyetta Shaw.
From the sounds of the E! article, Ne-Yo’s older kids haven’t been told yet about their newest sibling… but Crystal and Ne-Yo say they’re “going to be so excited” once they find out.
“Maddie has asked a few times for a little sister since having SJ so fingers crossed,” they said.
Meanwhile, Crystal is already making big plans for this pregnancy, saying:
“This gender reveal party is going to be epic,” and adding that the new baby already has a name. “We have had names for our angels since before Shaffer Jr. was born so, yes, we are all set on baby names.”
The couple also says this baby may or may not be their last, depending on whether or not the baby is a girl.
“If it’s a girl then the shop is closed but if it’s a boy then we have to do it again! I’ve been dreaming of the same little girl since I was a little girl and we won’t stop until we get her!”
As happy as we are for Crystal and Ne-Yo we can’t help but think of Monyetta… Do you think they should have tried to be more sensitive to her situation?
