JR Smith Henny

J.R. Smith Is The MVP Of Athlete’s On Social Media

Twitter celebrated when the reports of J.R. Smith and the defending champ Cleveland Cavaliers coming to terms on a four-year $57 million deal hit the timeline. This extension was well deserved. Over the last couple of seasons we’ve watched J.R. transform into a model citizen in Cleveland, elevate his game and even settle down and get married.

Although Swish has since turned his life around,  his legacy as one of the trillest players in the NBA has been forever etched in stone.

In honor of the legend, here are the Top 5 Social Media Moments of J.R.Smith’s Career.

“When the Remy’s in the System..”

JR Smith drunk

In 2013 J.R. was allegedly photoed getting lit just 24 hours before Game 5 of the Knicks v. Celtics playoff series in the Eastern Conference. Hitting a total of 3 clubs on a Tuesday night taking bottles of Rosé to the head. A DJ at the club recognized him in the VIP alongside rapper French Montana and snapped this pic. Smith would go on to have a terrible game the next night, but was still crowned the MVP of Keeping it 100.

Yeezy Taught You.

JR Smith; Kris Humphries

On the court, Swish has provided countless “Oouuu!” moments with what he’s done to defenders. This time, Kim Kardashian’s former 90-day husband Kris Humphries got put in the blender via twitter when J.R. ethered him after Humphries was slick talking after beating the Knicks in the Garden. Swish wasn’t having it.  This was easily top 10 double entendre’s of all time, lets not forget Smith is a great two-way player.

JR Smith Tweet

After a Twitter exchange with Joe Budden, J.R. delivered the dagger by posting Budden’s former lover, Tahiry, along with her massive cakes on the timeline. The tweet was deleted, but not before it shut Black Twitter down for hours and would eventually go on to become a $25,000 fine for Smith. Talk about going hard in the paint.

“You Trying to Get the Pipe?..”

Get The Pipe

J.R. has let it be known that he has no fear of pulling up from beyond 30, DM’s are no exception. He pulled up from half-court when a fan slide into his direct messages and hit her with the legendary “You trying to get the pipe?” line and he’s been a living legend ever since.

The Dutch Master

After winning his first championship and visiting Amsterdam on his honeymoon, Swish took it upon himself to do what cultured and accomplished individuals do… visit fine-art museums. Well, while perusing Rembrandts he spotted something familiar to every liquor store and bodega in hoods across America. Since the were in Amsterdam, its only right.
