Chrisette Michele Reveals Plans To Wed Longtime Love Doug Ellison
Congratulations are in order for Chrisette Michele! The Grammy winner announced her engagement on Instagram and we’ve got all the details of the special moment! Hit the flip for more!
Chrisette’s boo, music exec Douglas Ellison also made the announcement on his gram. For those who are unfamiliar with Ellison, he has a music publishing/production company and the late Chinx Drugz was his artist.
After the passing of his artist Chinx, and the trauma of her reality television show. Douglas Ellison and Chrisette Michele have reunited.
They spent 7 years in court over their first deal together. Litigation and big label lawsuits were kept as far under the rug as Chrisette could keep it all, many don’t know she was facing these realities from the beginning of her Grammy award winning career.
Now the CEO of her own record label Rich Hipster (signed to Capitol/Caroline records) and him the CEO of Grammy Award winning, platinum Four Kings productions, these two have decided that life without each other left them incomplete.
Right in the midst of recording her upcoming album, Milestone : Minimalism, the forthcoming music is sure to reflect this incredible love story.
After asking Chrisette’s father for his daughters hand in marriage, Douglas proposed to Chrisette on the roof top of New York City studio “Jungle City” on one knee. Broom Jumping is in the near future!
